Is a hex-based, sandbox setting for Mörk Borg, created in 31 days for Exeunt Press' MÖRKTOBER 2024 challenge.
Crawl along the shores of the doomed Empire, face its outlandish inhabitants, and uncover the cruel history that made them all kneel before the golden Emperor. Join forces with the esoteric barbarian tribes, become an assistant of the sly Iznatar merchants, uncover the secret of the Poison Priests, or sink in a sea of liquid gold as you explore the Shining Pit.
31 Hexes, 31 days before the Empire drowns.
- New factions: the Uthedaș tribes of the Iron Forest, the Iznatar snake merchants, the Northern Satrapy's sons, the Purpura League warlords, and the Imperial golden kin.
- Each hex features a description of the local area, possible discoveries, history, plus content based on the hex's prompt: items, tables, characters, or locations.
- Compatible with most OSR systems.
- A timed sandbox, after 31 days the Empire sinks. There's no way to avoid it, or so it would seem.
- Art by dead people, plus original illustrations and edits by GVix.
- COMING SOON: encounters, weather and travel tables; faction details; hex crawling rules; sandbox storyline and 3 new classes.
